I Did It!

Yay Me! I was actually able to pick up the bike without shedding a tear...I am so proud of myself :) One of these days I will get around to posting a pic of the super cool Big Boy Bike, but for now it's resting comfortably in the back of the SUV...hubby made me promise to have someone at the store put it in and not to lift it out myself once I got it home (guess he's not in the mood for an early delivery either...we both need all the time we can get to prepare for the little princess!).

Mommy's Little Man

Where has the time gone? Granted, there will be many more major milestones in the lives of all of my children, but last night was a big first for my oldest...we bought his 1st Big Boy Bike for his upcoming 5th birthday.

It's the cutest (excuse me, coolest) version of an adult mountain bike! It has hand brakes as well as pedal brakes, a sport seat, and super cool paint job. Pair that with his new Spiderman helmet (not gaudy, just a deep vibrant blue with small red spiders sporadically placed), elbow pads, and knee pads and he is ready to roll. We decided to forego the frustrations of putting it together ourselves and let the bike shop do it. We get to pick it up tonight...I think I just might tear!!

Losing Followers on Blogger?

Apparently, Blogger has been having some issues over the past couple of days resulting in a large loss of followers for many bloggers. After some digging, Jennifer, over at 80 MPH Mom was able to find out that somehow Blogger has reset many followers to "anonymous". This means that they are no longer visible on your counter.

If everyone works together, this issue can be easily remedied. All you have to do is go to your Dashboard, scroll down, and click on the "manage" button under "Blogs I'm Following". Check the dropdown menus next to each blog you are currently following and make sure that the ones you want public are listed as such. Done!

Happy Monday to All!

This will be me all week, albeit in a VERY pregnant, much less "perky" version! Jaden turns 5 this Friday and we are having a blow out bash on Saturday to celebrate...what a little Big Man he is! The most challenging thing about the whole cleaning ordeal is that my precious Micah (16 months) likes to "help" by pulling out everything I've just put away! Ah well, c'est la vie...such is the life with an adorable toddler who is curious about EVERYTHING!

Wish me well (please!)...I'll try to fit a little Wenda hunting in along the way. A pregnant mommy has to sit down to rest every now and then you know!

What a Week!

First, I must apologize for being a bit MIA this week as far as posting goes. I got caught up in the "Where's Wenda" hunt over at Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha & SITS and found myself surfing all around the bloggy world! She was, of course, always 2 steps ahead of me and everytime I found her trail, one of my munchkins seemed to need something from me (and the role of mommy must come first, of course...no offense, Wenda!).

The Wee One in Waiting has been extremely active this week and I feel as if I'm going to blow! The NST this week went well and she seems to be thriving. I've been blessed with 4 wonderful pregnancies, so I really can't complain, but 4 more weeks seems like an eternity at this point!!

Nevertheless, God is good! The house is coming together for Ellia's arrival (ahhhh, the joys of deep cleaning and sterilizing!), orders are coming in daily for B&B, and I'm somehow finding the time to dabble in my new hobby (which will hopefully find its way into my store one day soon).

Scrumptious Sides...

Ever have one of those days when you just feel like a good helping of your favorite side dishes? Good ole comfort food...ahhhhh...well, today was one of those days! I don't know if it's the "nesting" setting in again or what, but I was in a cookin' mood and sides were on my mind...

Greens with smoked turkey, sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing (with gravy, of course!), baked beans, and sweet cornbread...I was in heaven! Sounds a bit like Thanksgiving without the turkey, I know, but luckily the rest of the clan was happily in agreement with me and gobbled up all the goodies I was craving...what a meal :)

Battered and Bruised

Although this is my 4th time around, the strength of an unborn blessing never ceases to amaze me. Little Ellia has been INCREDIBLY active today and I feel as though my insides have been used for a combination of kick boxing and mixed martial arts! Everytime I tried to do something productive (cleaning, crafting, filling orders, playing with the boys...) she gave me a swift rebuke. Looks like I'm going to have a feisty little muchkin on my hands very soon!
