Over the years, I've been amazed at the verbal skills of our 4 young children. They all talked early and rapidly developed expansive vocabularies. Now that my oldest is in First Grade and in the throws of spelling tests and vocabulary drills, I am happy to say that he continues to excel. In fact, he quite often gets bored with the run-of-the-mill curriculum presented to him in the classroom. I find myself constantly needing to do enrichment activities with him in order to hold his interest, which can be a challenge. Therefore, I was thrilled when offered the opportunity to review the SpellQuizzer program.

There is a built-in spell checker that recognizes both US and UK spellings and a function that automatically re-quizzes your child on any words he has missed once the first pass through the list is completed. Once a list is entered, you still have the option to edit, which I love. My little guy has a memory like you wouldn't believe, so the ability to change word order or throw in a new word here and there throughout the week is priceless (he's very good at memorizing in sequence!). As an added bonus, this is a computer program, which means a little more computer time for my son (a big incentive in convincing him to get a little extra practice in on the words!).
SpellQuizzer offers a FREE 30 day trial if you want to test it out first (gotta love that!). You can also buy the program HERE for only $29.95. Be sure to look for SpellQuizzer on Facebook and Twitter to stay in touch for updates and much more!
