Wee Squeak Review & Giveaway

As the mom of 4 wee ones 5 years and younger, I'm always on the lookout for well-made, durable shoes that are as fashionable as they are functional. I need something that is easy on the budget, but can take the beatings my little munchkins are sure to put them through!

Enter Wee Squeaks. My 1 year old had the distinct pleasure of putting a pair of the Navy Fisherman Sandals to the test. From the moment I put them on his little feet, he hit the ground running! Delighted by the musical squeak he was able to create with each step, he jumped headlong into playing with cadence and rhythm. Having an active toddler who is an explorer and dare-angel at heart, I appreciated being able to hear where he was going before he reached his destination. Had a little too much "music" for the day? No worries...the sqeaker mechanism disables easily to preserve your sanity! And with no fading, no cracking, and no real visible signs of wear, these babies scored high marks with me in the durability category.

Here's what the manufacturer has to say about these adorable kicks:

Wee Squeak Children’s Shoes are footwear that's fun to wear! Comfortable and stylish, these little shoes are great for any season. With a variety of styles and colors to choose from, these children's shoes are a great gift idea as well as a way to help children learn to walk properly without even realizing they're being taught. Traditional Mary Jane’s, along with a wide variety of boys sandals, children’s tennis shoes and girls sandals in several different colors and styles, Wee Squeak Shoes has a very diverse selection. We even have accessories to go with our “Wee Snap” shoes…clip on flowers to dress up the shoes, as well as Crystal Crown accessories in white or pink. These decorative additions to our Wee Snap line will put a sparkle in any girl’s eye when she sees them gracing her toes!
Wee Squeak shoes are designed for children and parents alike. Our shoes actually make a fun squeak sound as the child walks. A cushion in the heal squeezes air through a tiny nozzle making the squeak sound. For those occasions when the shoe needs to be silent, the squeaker can be removed very simply by an adult. Shoe sizes range from 3-12. We have a wide variety of shoes for boys and girls, and we have expanded our collection for Spring and Summer 2009. I have attached a brochure for your review. Please also visit our website for a detailed listing at http://www.weesqueak.com/.

Now for the nitty gritty...Win your very own pair of Wee Squeaks! One lucky reader will get to choose between the Orange Girl's Sandal with Yellow Daisy, Turquoise Girl's Sandal with White Daisy, and the Navy Fisherman's Sandal (each in size 5).

Kudos, Melanie!

I'm sending out a BIG Thank You to Melanie @ Whimsical Creations for her post regarding issues with Blogger's "Followers" widget!! Apparently, the issue I've been having accessing my blog is not an isolated case and it may be linked directly to the Follower's widget I installed (and love BTW!). Once again, there are a few bugs to be worked out in this very popular widget, but in the meantime, using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer seems to have solved my access issue.

Thanks, Melanie, for the suggestion!
Access Melanie's entire post HERE for more info.

Uuuuugggghhh!

For the past week I've fallen prey to dreaded "computer issues". Just when I think I've resolved one problem, another arises in its place. The latest is a problem accessing my blog (hence the week long silence).

Whether I use my shortcut or type the address longhand, I get an error message that "Internet Explorer cannot access the site (my blog address)". Today I was able to find a back way into my Dashboard through Blogger (which allowed me to write this post), but I have not found anyway to view my blog without the error (which automatically boots me out of blogger after exiting the error message box...VERY frustrating!).

Needless to say, I need help! Never fear, I'll try what few tricks I know to get back up and running, but if anyone has some insight...I"m all ears!!

Have a Blessed Memorial Day Weekend!

Fill In The Blankie {Review}

I'm always on the lookout for unique gifts that show a little extra thought and effort. These fabulous lovlies from Fill In The Blankie are that and more! What makes these blankets extra special is that they can be personalized beyond belief...up to 200 characters in all!

How, you say, can they offer so many characters? By making emroidery available on all 4 of the satin edges binding each super soft blanket. Much more than your average blankie, these keepsakes can truly tell a story. And what's more, you can also choose your blanket style, color, font, and thread color!

I was blessed with the opportunity to review "Molly's Very Own Herringbone" blanket in soft pink with "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" embroidered around the edges. What a delight! This is one of my most used blankets right now with my 5 month old, Ellia. Made of 100% micro-cotton (except for the satin trim), this super soft blanket is done in a very chic herringbone pattern and still feels luxurious, even after numerous washings. It's medium weight makes it perfect for this time of year in the mid-west and the generous size allows for plenty of good snuggles!

Be sure to stop by Fill In The Blankie to check out all 8 of the wonderful blanket styles they have available. They even have them ranked according to "softness factor" to help you in your search for the perfect keepsake :)
